hi guys, just a quick question here, do i need to run a oil feed restrictor for R34 GTR turbos?

i've searched and they said it is required for BB turbos but some BB turbos have them built in. So can anyone confirm whether or not the R34 GTR stock units have built in restrictors, and if not what size do i need?

Do i restrict the oil from the block side or on each turbo or it doesn't matter?

any help is much appreicated.

cheers :)

Was that to each turbo or just the main feed line from the block? Im assuming u havent had any issues since installing?

Cheers mate

Here's a good working guideline. If you have a system where you will be splitting a flow in half and will need restriction (of the type we're talking about here), then it is far smarter to have two restrictors, after the split. Otherwise, if you have one restrictor you lose all your pressure over the restrictor, then ask the flow to split and flow evenly. If, for some reason, one of the flow paths is more restrictive than the other (trouble with one turbo, kinked supply or drain line, etc) then the flow will preferentially go the other way. Not good. If you supply high pressure to two restrictors, then each leg will have about the same total backpressure (controlled by the restrictor, not the downstream path) and you'll be much better off.
