err.. shouldn't be floating! The bracket should be slotted into a well, slot at the top of the tank. You should be able to see it - the slot is white plastic.

I forget a little, but I think it may be just because when you remove the actual "jar" type thingo the hoses that it attaches to end up pulling the whole thing out at once from the slot. To put it back in I think I slotted the bracket in first, then attached the fuel hoses back to the top connectors, and then put the "jar lid" back on.

knore - its pretty easy to get into the tank... my trouble was a) the plastic cap was farken tight, had to use a hammer and screw driver to open it (easy .), next , the 3 fuel lines where really sticky from never being removed before, and its a small space so can be a bitch (cut my hand a bit).. other than that its easy.

pred - thanks for the quick reply... i think i pulled it off the bracket when i first opened the pump.. got my self a bit confused.
