I've just brought a G-Tech, a week ago haven't played too much yet the 0-100 times haven't been too good though been getting mid 8's. But mines a heavy 4dr and thats with tool boxes, spare tyre, and the sub box still in the boot.

For the 1/4 mine has done 16 flat at the strip, on the G-Tech it's done 16.1.

Just got an Apexi RSM (not as acurate as a G-tech, but not bad) and i managed 8.6 to the 100, with full tank, subs+box and all the rest of the stuff most daily drivers are full of. haven't tried a 0-400 yet, but i don't think it wil be all that flash...

definately not as fun with out the gas in the car cause the timing is retarded, although my timing is at stock rather then retarded cause i normally run it at 19 degreese where as stock is 15 and u notice the difference in power, though if ur car doesnt have the timing advanced it wont make ne difference. If thats what u were asking. Other option is rb 30 with ur head, im putting my 25de head on a rb30 very soon, before i start ill strip back the rb30 replace bearings balance the crank and shot peen the rods and wack some new rings in. then ill hopefully be in the 14's without gas and definately below with gas so like mid to high 13's very soon.

ya tis first car, no one will touch me on a 32 turbs, im thinking ill get a 33 na, hide a nos kit in the partition between the boot, maybe a 5lb bottle, not sure

yo is 100hp shot safe :)?

also how many quater mile runs are you getting with the 75hp shot ?

have you checked out that zex pod filter with the n20 jet in the end, looks very interesting!

no 100hp definately no safe on a NA, 75 is probably pushing it but i got 14.08 at the test n tune tonight with a shit start and shit 60ft so im thinking i can break into 13's just if i get everything perfect.

Gearbox is the only thing im unsure about ill just see how it goes, seems to be holding up with the nos alright. Clutch is fine cause its a really tuff item i got put in a while ago. im hopefully getting an rb30 for free, ill have to pay for the rods to be shotpeened, crank balanced, new bearings and new rings and some extractors, all up like 600 dollars as i will do all the change over including porting and polishing my head myself with some help from my boss.

    • Oof. One of my mates has an R34 GT-R that he initially was a "I want to go twins for response and convenience" on his stock 2.6 with Kelford 272 cams, but his friends are pests and were always in his ear about their place being in the bin.   Eventually one of the 2860-5s decided to add it's own input and force his hand, so he conceded and went for a Pulsar 6262G ("G35 900") with T4 0.85 hotside.    Here's an overlay of the results, same cams, same stock bottom end, same boost, same fuel, just from a pretty tidy 2860-5 install to a Pulsar turbo on a 6boost maniifold on BP98.   Worth mentioning here, it may seem like a dead horse thing but the dyno plot doesn't tell the story of how much better it is to drive - transient response has completely changed the car, he used to have flat foot shifting to stop it having to wind up again on gear changes even at >7000rpm... now it builds boost faster than that even short shifting.   It's 100% transformed the car before you even consider how much better it holds on: Pulsar and Garrett aren't the same, but from our experience if you're just looking for a better drive and the ability to make the same or more power I think the divided G30 770 would probably be the smallest I'd go to.
    • Great work Duncan, any events local you will give it a test once all done?
    • Sweet, yeah hoping stock gears will hold up. May use the transbrake feature on hill climb starts so that will test it.
    • Yeah, the thread is only nearly 20 years old.
    • Been down in Tassie for 2 weeks (a cruise, not a race for once) but spent a little time on her when I got back. I worked out the injector settings in the PowerFC were not correct for nismo 555s, set those to 66% +10ms and added a little air at closed throttle, set the timing (approximately, because it has some weird non 15o cells around idle) and now she starts and idles properly. She purrs like a kitten (ignore the co2 alarm in the background, I did  ) 20250518_171052.mp4 Next step, off for run-in, tuning and alignment!
