Well, for anyone else who's interested I just found the elusive NM35 manual in searchable PDFs of each section. Surprisingly it was one of the first results when I googled "Nissan Stagea m35 repair manual" in Russian.

The site is laid out a lot like the nicoclub FSM section so you can easily cross reference the similar bits to the G35 manual.

Using https://www.onlinedoctranslator.com/ I translated EI.pdf , sample below. 

Obviously it does not translate the diagrams and there is Engrish but it helps! 

Google translate murders the document layout so I found it useless.

Just a quick reminder for people wanting a copy of this manual.  I did not have the original, and some very kind soul (also not me!) scanned 000s of pages years ago. I'm just hosting a copy in the best way I know (dropbox).
