Any one played with one of these? what kind of money am I looking at, for a system to suit R33 gtst?

Plug and play with very minor mods ( running map sensor line etc ) is $1395 excluding hand controller but with laptop software.

the ecu retails for 1395 with a couple hundred more a hand controller

I would normally say ask for SST Steve as SST is worlds best wolf dealer but since your in qld id say you want someone more local - you obviously know where to go in you area.

they are a great ecu for the price.

We were told the price we had to quote was $2200 installed and tuned and $2K for SAU/Sil members....

I have one

I am installing it in a couple of weeks time

It will be tuned at Bob Romano Performance in conjuction with KP performance (the Brisbane Dist.)

Will let you know the results

Hehe its why i said about - by the time you add the controller it is past 2k easily :)

Im sure you know alot better then me seeing as how you do sell it down at hyperdrive :) perhaps i should have added the disclaimer that i know nothing hehe

Still awesome value at 2200 im sure you will agree Ken :headspin:

How many things do you have to plug before you play? And is the base tune good enough to drive around for a few months before you tune it or do you need to take it straight the dyno?

Had many problems for a plug and play!

You would probably be in the minority as a lot of them are in Sils and Lines here in WA with some of the 500+ hp GTR's running them with no real issues.

Maybe you got a dud one or the shop doing the work may not be familiar with them.

Tomj , they are good value for the price but $2200 doesn't normally include the controller.... :D

If the unit costs $1400 (rounded up), hand controller $200, installation $0 (so easy to install i can't believe any workshop would charge to do this, provided you get it tunned through them) and tunning $300 max. How the hell do you get $2200+.

I've had the unit installed and running for the past 18 months with no real issues, just a light retune of ideal mixtures. Do a search and chech the previous threads :D.

The unit works and works well :).

Sorry man but they do and they are a pandp ( if you don't count the MAP/boost line )

Nd4spd ( 600+ rwhp ) has a plug and play in his and ran at Motorvation with it.

Fabs V Spec dumped his Power FC for one and I'm sure Steve can fill in the blanks...

      The 'About Us' got me ..  I added something to the cart and clicked 'check out' and none of the payment options in the footer (ie those with buyer protection) were available. Stay the hell away from this one.

      No. Not true for any non-GTR R32. I think even the GTS4 has the GTSt knuckles with eye type lower shock mounts (as opposed to GTR fork lower shock mounts). The only R chassis in which something like the quote claim is true is the R34, on which the turbos have the fork type and the NAs have the eye type. **Edit: Actually I reserve the right to be wrong about the above statement. It might also be true on R33s. My memory on those shitboxen has faded too much.

      It's a scam. It has all the telltale signs: - The "business" doesn't have a physical address or really any kind of information listed - It's using a generic online store website template - The prices are ridiculously reduced. To good to be true cheap - Everything is in stock and can be ordered in any possible combination   I've seen a few of these for other products as well. Things like sunglasses for example. I'd say stay away from it! And maybe reach out to the real theskylineshed and let them know this exists. I doubt there is much they can do about it, but still.   I don't know if they would actually take your money if you ordered something. Or whether it is just for collecting credit card details to scam otherwise. I'm not game or stupid enough to try it.
