One day i was at autobahn and i decided to buy Racing Super 104 Octane booster, to see what difference it will have. I havent used it yet. Went on the dyno to get a tuning and i asked a High Performace Mechanic about the octane booster. He told me to not even let it near my car. He said that it would ruin my spark plugs and that i would be coming to him for new ones  Guess i wasted $25 on an octane booster that im never gonna use :Bang: What have u guyz heard bout Octane Booters?

Cheerz :)

so according to this guy, all the cars that have been imported from japan have stuffed spark plugs cause they run higher octane fuel.

ive never heard anything bad about octane booster. the only thing is that some dont boost as much as they say.

High Performance Mechanic?? HHAHAHAHAHA, what the hell is that???

Its funny when people describe others like that!!!

If you run proper 104 octane fuel it will kill your plugs quicker than 98 ron but not to the point of u having to change plugs every week or so.

    • Any reason you didn't, like... change it while at the Pie shop so you could compare them on the way back? (all the more reason to go for another drive I suppose)
    • After a lovely little cruise up Mac Pass into Robertson pie shop on the weekend, and all the daily driving on our crappy roads, I decided to soften up the dampers a bit I've gone from 13 clicks from full soft to 9 clicks on the front, and from 8 clicks full soft to 4 clicks on the rear Whilst the car did handle great before, on smooth roads, it was a little bit harsh on pot holes and joins in the road, but only in the rear Also, my uneducated assumption is you need more dampening in the front compared to the rear, hence the front is set a little harder by 5  Will this help the budget spec BC RS coilovers on bumpy roads, I'm hopeful.....

    • The 'About Us' got me ..  I added something to the cart and clicked 'check out' and none of the payment options in the footer (ie those with buyer protection) were available. Stay the hell away from this one.
