Clutch Pedal At Bottom Of Travel

Recommended Posts

An adjustment of the clutch pedal should work a treat. It's a simple job, and done by undoing the clutch pedal pushrod locking nut (at the back of the clutch peal) with a small spanner (14mm from memory) and rotating the rod with a pair of pliers. I'd suggest each rotation only be a turn or two, than check that the pick-up is moving in the direction you desire. Once you've found the sweet spot tighten the locking nut back up and you're done.

Use the following photos a guide.

look and see if you have leaked any oil from the master cyl or the slave cyl etc. you might have air in your line and needs to be refilled bleed and replaced leaking item.

If something is leaking, or has low fluid or needs bleeding the clutch pedal will be pushed deeprer untill its released,.. and not disengage properly...

Pretty sure the only reason for that pushrod on the back of the pedal is to adjust the freeplay, though u should be able to use it as a temporary fix though your pedal hights will be at different heights

if the friction plate is pretty worn it the clutch pedal wil bite a bit higher
