Was looking in search and couldn't find what i wanna know , is it possible to run say 12psi or 13.5psi in a 1997 vspec. I don't wanna blow my turbos which is why restrictor is still installed from factory. And does anyone have diagrams or live around penrith to show me how to hook it up lol

Yes its possible. But the ecu may run into Rich and Retard due to excessive airflow. Which means u will need an aftermarket ecu to get the best out of it or u will have to drop the boost back down to near stock.

The stock turbo is a game of chance, some people run 16psi all day every day for years, while others blow a turbo on 12psi after a month.

just take the restrictor out and u will be running around 14psi

Best to upgrade turbos before boosting, ur stock turbos can still fail at stock boost and might kill the engine with it

I was running 14psi with my stock turbos for 1 year, went great ! But I was abit concerned with them lol 12psi "should" be fine

Ok well how do I hook up a manual boost controller? All the things I've read don't make sense ? Stock I'm getting like 4 mmhg

Not everyone runs stock boost. Mainly the smart ones that still have there engine running,

Unfortunately its just a game of chance.

Would u think stock as rock S3 vspec , only mods are 3.5" cat back and decat 65,000kms would handle the restrictor out ?

of course its possible. stock boost in a 33 gtr is .84 bar which is like 12.sumthing psi
