Slave Cylinder Push Rod

is the push rod in the slave cylinder meant to be threaded? mines not and iv been told to adjust it (but obviously can't) for an issue im having with installing my button clutch. so im wondering whether its meant to be like that or not.

the adjustment is the threaded pin at the top-back of clutch peddle, winds in and out to move the pick up point of the clutch ( alters how much hydralic throw the slave has.)
