We're holding another Social Event at Simworld in Carousel on Friday October 7th, starting at 7pm. Please make sure you arrive 15mins beforehand so we can kickoff on time. Everyone who attended the previous event all agreed it was awesome fun, even from the guy who ended up puking (from motion sickness, not the food ) The event will go for two hours, including food from Nandos

For those who don't know what SimWorld is check it out at http://www.simworld.com.au/ These are full simulators, where you get thrown about etc, nothing like anything you've done before. They've got new tracks, and event have a Flight Simulator (Battle of Britain style)

The general format of the event is:

Group 1 - 5min Practice - Course 1

Group 2 - 5min Practice - Course 1

Group 1 - 10min Race 1

Group 2 - 10min Race 1

Group 1 - 15min Race 2

Group 2 - 15min Race 2

Group 1 - 5min Practice - Course 2

Group 2 - 5min Practice - Course 2

Group 1 - 10min Race 3

Group 2 - 10min Race 3

Group 1 - 10min Race 4

Group 2 - 10min Race 4

Final - 10min Race (combined results from Race 1, 2, 3 & 4 will determine who is in the finals)

* Minimum race time is 55mins

** Comes with food supplied by Nando's, and we can have BYO drinks

*** Group size is 9, as there are 9 Simulators

Note:

The cost is $70.

These are full race simulators, not simple arcade games, so it will definitely be an experience.

Please register your interest ASAP, and then make payment so we can lock in your spot, it's first in bested dressed. Please invite family members (friends, wives, older kids etc), as all Simulators are equal, and doesn't require a drivers license :rofl2: We'd like to have this filled with SAUWA Members and there familys/friends, but will open it up to the rest of SAU if we don't fill the spots.

Cheers

Paul

    • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
