GTA IV was announced in 2006 and wasn't released until 2008. So I reckon GTA V won't be out before Christmas 2012. It might even be as late as 2013.

I went to EA games in Sydney Broadway (all should have it but) and its in the coming soon section in one of those generic DVD cases. Should be soonish then.........

It looks good. Definitely a leap up from GTA4. It's interesting to see how much more actions the pedestrians do.

It'll essentially be GTA IV's graphics, with the crazier and more enjoyable gameplay of GTA: San Andreas

End product: Perfection!

i wouldnt be buying a ps3 or xbox 360 at this stage fellas

theres a little clue on the rockstar site

there is no systems listed

which is usually a sign it aint gonna be on either console

maybe next gen is coming sooner than we may think

look back at all gta trailers they always put the consoles on the ad

He's not saying that.

He's saying it might be an indication that they are coding this game for the new generation of consoles from Microsoft and Sony.

Highly unlikely. They aren't going to can the ps3 after only six years. Plus the set date for GTA V is 2012 and I would assume the game has been in development since at least 2011.

Plus you can already pre-order it for PS3 at EB games or JB.

it's funny they are taking pre orders but dont even list what console it is for themselves

and it's looking like microsoft is going to announce new console at ces in jan 2012

sony already said they wont be letting ms get a head start this time which to me says they also have a console near release

They are not going to advertise a game for pre-order for a platform that hasn't even been released yet.

you guys do all know of the uber and crazy high res texture packs etc for the PC GTA4 right? makes even current games look average. all the porting to PC issues are gone, but does require quite the comp to run well.
