2006 Aw Sti, Low Miles! One Owner!

Recommended Posts

Hello prospective buyers!

If you opened this thread, you are interested in buying a low mile STI. This example is the among the lowest of the low when it comes to a 2006, at only 23k miles on the clock! I purchased the car new in '06 and have been the only owner and driver (non-smoker). It has factory options of fog lights, arm rest extension, short shift kit, and subwoofer. The car is located in Austin, Tx.

The car was never daily driven, and used only on weekends, mostly for sunday canyon carving runs through the northern california mountains. It has been garaged 100% of its life. Driven properly, but never raced, tracked, or Auto-X'd. The car is/was my baby, but life tends to change and I no longer have room for the car. As it is, the car sits in the garage except for maybe 1 day per month. Meticulously maintained, the new owner of this car is getting a rare find.

The motor, exhaust, and turbo are 100% stock and never modified. The factory wheels are the only ones ever mounted and the fenders are in stock condition. The only modifications on the car are:

RCE yellows

Group N top hats (front and back)

Whiteline FSB

Whiteline steering rack bushings

Alpine Headunit with navigation and iPod highspeed interface

Recardo Speed seats (currently out of the car and not factored into the price, if you want I can put them back in and hand over the stock seats, but the price of the car will increase by $1000)

Oil was always changed at 3,000miles or sooner. I recently changed the transmission fluid, and rear differential fluid, and put in a new Optima Red Top battery. Everything on the car is still tight as a drum, as it's still practically new!

Clear title in hand, let's do business . Opening at 24,500. Sorry, not interested in trades.

    • I got the full frenchys kit too. Really awesome kit. Easy to install my only complaint was the hardlines I think could be routed differently (I modified mine) but I realise the kit needs to suit multiple applications. This was the hard lines before I modified them. They were touching the wastegate pipe. I ended up reducing the distance between firewall and first bend. The made it so they tucked along the frame rail.
    • Deeve, I don't suppose that you've made any progress on this? My Stagea has the exact same problem, and just like you, I've read through as much as I can online, with no real progress. My car isn't throwing any codes at all, which is a little frustrating. I've changed plugs, checked the wiring and harness. A new MAF gets here next week, but I'm not hopeful it will solve the issue.
    • I installed it all myself,  It was really easy to install.  I got a professional to do the degas/gas.
    • Finally had some time after working on other projects to jump back on this thing. Pulled all 4 wheels to check the brakes over and lucked out, only needed to bleed them/change fluid to get everything working!    Took it for its first quick spin (around 2km) up the road and ran great! Sounds like I have a left rear wheel bearing that needs replacing and there’s a shake in the steering wheel but the tires are absolutely junk on this thing and had been sitting flat when I went to first look at the car so we’ll see if that’s the cause.   Tach randomly started working but I notice if my hicas light comes on the tach stops working 🙃 yay for electrical gremlins
    • Bunnings car park it is! if you buy the kind of dampers with the adjustable top on the strut you can see it, red, purple? So many options.
