Stagea Auto Trans To R32 Gtr.

Hi all.

So as some of you know I'm trying to make a r32 GTR automatic.

There is a few options out there.

But does anyone know if The Stagea auto trans will be ok to go into a r32 GTR?

I will most likely have it rebuilt with a bigger stall converter.

Also does any one know how I would go about having it wired up? Or if I can just move it manually?

Thanks in advance

No GTR ECU expects to have to talk to a TCU, so you're unlikely to get the Stagea's TCU to be happy on such a transplant. I'm sure it's been done by someone, but I'm not sure what you'd have to do. Perhaps you'd need a replacement TCU like what MV Autos (?) have done for various other cars.

If it all loke like utter fail, the smart move would be to put the RB26 and gearbox in the shed and get a whole 25Neo+auto from a later Stagea and transplant the whole lot. Sure, it won't be a "GTR", but no-one has to really care. You can make as much power with a Neo anyway.

hey I know its been done in Sydney a couple times,

as I have been in talk with a workshop that has done it, price wise isn't too bad, and they make it lok like it was a factory automatic GTR,

I've always wanted a rb26 GTR so am really trying to have it as that,

I know it'll be easier to put a neo in it, But I know it isnt the same, lol

thanks for the input though

Sounds like a nightmare to me. May be slightly easier if you use a S2 Stagea (neo) transmission as the S1 has the auto ecu built into the engine ecu and is very difficult to modify.

Would it work if I ran it as a fully manualised shift kit?

I know a automatic GTR can be done.

I wont be doing it. A quite well known workshop will be in Sydney.

Thanks for all the advice tho
