Never saw this build thread!

Loved the read and those rims look shmick!

Good luck with the tune :)

Can't wait to see the figure it puts out

wont be any crazy number im setting up all the supporting mods before changing the stock turbo. Was thinking of getting a Hi flow for the meantime, but its doesn't make sense just getting it installed only for a few months. But if i see a really cheap one, wont hesitate to grab it.

What ECU are you planning on using now that you've sold the ViPEC?

I had two,got one from a wrecked 33 with a Neo. Then i won another on ebay, so i sold one. Both were so cheap and in good condition. I did send them off to Link so that they could do a diagnostics test to make sure they were not chucking a fit and they were good.

Received a few goodies for my my fuel system and got to work straight away.

Making the fuel lines was not as challenging as i thought it would be with all the fraying wires. Manged just to use a grider with a cut off wheel to make clean cuts. Also where you see the 180 bend, thats where ill b placing my fuel cooler once it arrives. Hopefully soon and the bend will be reused for the new fuel rail and injectors.

I need to find better ways of linking the stock hard lines to the teflon without using a clamp. Im currently using the Quick Connect 3/8" to 6AN. They not leaking or anything but they dont seem like a good fit for prolonged use. They're a snug fit on the flex fuel sensor but for some reason dont feel as snug on the hard fuel line coming from FPR.

Got to put the Nismo pump in it buzzes like a dremmel now kind of annoying but Ill have to get used to that. I might try fitting some rubber or some noise deadening of some sort.
Size comparison of the stockie compared to the nismo how do people deal with it specially in traffic

thats crazy i get im going to get some subs to cater for the noise blocking :P.

Fully sick subwoofa!!!

The external 044s are right behind the back seat and i find them quite nice, on cruise only one is running and over 3psi both are running!

are you using that kit Sydney Kid mentioned about the second pump switching over when theres more load/rpm. Thought it only works with MAFs not MAPs but ill try to find out more about doing that.

Mine was setup by Adam @ JEM through the Haltech, it is the ideal setup for anything up to 700rwkw :woot:

Ive been trying to find out if anyone has tapped an external MAP sensor on the intake manifold for RB25. Where would be the perfect spot for this,(preferably the part of the manifold where it has less material to drill through for tapping.)?

So far im inclined towards this type where i have to take off the intake manifold and tap it. Not use if i could tap it whilst its still on with all the metal shavings falling inside.

Another is to tee off another line easier method. Im thinking this method would have a less accurate reading.

I would tap a hole mate. If you're planning on running the car solely on the MAP sensor (not using a dual MAP/AFM setup) then you want that sensor to be reliable. If you tee it into another hose and for whatever reason, that hose splits... That's gonna mess up your readings but your ECU won't know any different.

going to give it a shot when im free. My tuner was offering to do it for a price. And i thought to myself that if you pay someone else to do it for you its pretty much their car they know it and you dont. Need to get a few speedflow fittings and spacers then I should do the tapping and fitting new injectors.

By the way, I meant to reply to this. Have you figured it out yet?

First of all, the stock hard lines are 5/16. So the 3/8 to -6 quick connect fittings wouldn't work anyway. Then those quick connect fittings are designed for GM EFI systems. They work with the flex fuel sensor because they are a GM part, but you don't want to use them for your hard lines. To convert your hard lines, you will want to cut the barb off and then use Speedflows 5/16 to -6 tube adapters with the compression olive:

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
