Will the drive shafts actually only be 20mm angle than a 26 because the sump spacer puts them 10mm lower in centre to start with?

no, due to the 10mm sump spacer, the the 30mm subframe spacers, it ends up being 40mm total.

Could you use longer bolts through the chassis rail to go through the longer nuts if you were that anal?

theres no real access to the chassis rail internals.

and the factory set up uses studs.

so, youd have to punch those out, then install bolts some how.

I had thought of this, but it seemed the harder option.

pity the car's rollcentre and handling is now up shit creek all because of a bonnet that you didnt want to cut

I havnt noticed any discernable difference.

and it wouldnt be any worse then lowering it.

lowering your car lowers the roll centre, so does dropping the subframe. if you maintained the stock rideheight it would be fine but lowered car + dropped subframe = SHITHOUSE roll centre
I have maintained the stock ride height.

since purchase ive raised the car 4 times.

or, if you have a big single like me, the bonnet bracing and possibly the skin to clear the compressor housing.

even with 30mm spacers, it sit very close to the bonnet.

which is what I purchased.

and the comp cover still sits close.

id estimate 10-15mm between comp cover and bonnet.

so, withourlt spacers, dont think it would clear.
