Rb26 Interchangable Steering Reservoirs

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if Power steering reservoirs and hoses to the pump are generally interchangeable?

I am looking for a Power steering reservoir to match an R33 RB26DETT pump.. I don't have any standard mountings in the car at the moment, so if possible i would prefer to get a nicer looking steering reservoir (like the 350Z one perhaps?), the R33 one is kind of ugly

Could i get an R34 GTR or a 350/370Z reservoir and hoses and fit them straight to the R33 GTR pump?

Maybe. The large hose from the bottom of the res to the pump will likely be different. Keep in mind that the res sits on the tower in a Skyline and the hose goes over to the engine - a straight 6. One the 350/370, I think the res sits on the engine. But realistically, whilst you might have to make up a hose out of bits and pieces, it's still just a hose.

The smaller hoses for return you could make up from scratch no doubt.
