Easy Front Brake upgrades for DR30RS

Recommended Posts

LOL thanks Ant :D. I was only trying to help you out. Maybe try redrilling R32 rotors to 4 stud then fit them. I'm not sure if R32 4 Spot Calipers will bolt on, but if you are as handy as you say, then try it because they do bolt straight onto S13's. How much power does your car have??? Hopefully enough for you to need a brake upgrade!

Calipers go bolt . what I was asking was are there discs that will bolt up behind the std hubs . I have little interest in discs designed to fit over the wheel studs because this alters the track width and increases bump steer . If I have no choise I will modify an earlier pre negative offset hub or machine up one off hubs . where there's a will there's a way .

Try Mitsu Verada Disks........usually you you only need to get a spacer made up to go between the disk and the hub. The BDA catalog at www.dba.com.au has all the dimensions for all the disks they sell.....you can usually find what you want in there !! you can also order all rotors "undrilled" ie if a rotor has the right dimensions but the wrong stud pattern it still will not be a problem.

the problem is the rotor and the hub are one peice with the r30 models, makes it a bitch to fit larger rotors let alone better callipars. if you do manage to do this then you need to use spacers at the front to let the rims clear the callipars...

this is what i've got from all the info in the r30 thread so far!

s-13 coilovers s-13hubs and the other bits to bolt to r30 then its r32 gts-t or gtr re-drilled rotors to match the 4x114.3 stud pattern. i don't know if the callipars will just bolt on or not yet??

this has been done for the front and may-be the rear?? hope that helps

it should all bolt on except the re-drilling of the rotors :)

$1500 should be the most you'd have to pay. thats my working on getting the rear bits at the sametime!
