HKS Fcon V pro Q's

Recommended Posts

I'm importing a 33 that currently got a HKS Fcon V pro with map sensor, and i'm just wondering if they are a total waste of time?  So far i have never heard of any one in Australia being able to tune them.  any ones thoughts?

pick up a navigator as well and you can tune it yourself or with advise from a tuner.

BD4's, as far as i am aware, have the only english version of the HKS Fcon V Pro software in australia.

There was another guy on the forum that had some jap guys come over with the jap version and tune some cars here, but i think they have left.

Short of doing the same, or going to japan yourself, BD4's in sydney are your only option....that or buy a MoTeC.

If its a version 3.0 or later its compatible with the english version software. You can tell what version it is by the sticker on the side of the ecu. BD4's in sydney can tune as posted before.

Ring and speak to BD4s, as they have in the past they have issued the software etc to SAS to tune cars,(Dont know if this is a common arrangement though)

So its possible they could lease/lend a workshop in Brisbane the software.... i imagine it would have to be a shop that Paul is familiar with and comfortable with, but can perhaps be arranged.

Bu tlike Steve said, im OZ there are easier/better management avenues.... htough its interestign to note that a majority of the serious Jap streetcars run the HKS F-Con over the Apexi Power Fc.

ok, from what i have read now, Silverwater Automotive also tune them? can anyone else confirm this? also you can apparently purchase the software from HKS US, in english .... i always thought you needed to be a HKS dealer to get the software ??

only person i've heard of tune an F-con V is Susumu Koyama from Jun in japan. He came over to tune a few cars including a R34 GTR over in perth. Software is supposedly in japanese only and you have to be certified by HKS to have access to the software.
