What is the voltage difference between the original power feed and relay power feed

This makes no sense.

That picture that you showed of where you spliced in. Is that about halfway up the back rest?

Have you tried (and should) splice in right at the top of the tank where the connector is?

Sorry if I'm asking the same questions. But should get there eventually haha.

That was done by the previous owner. I got my trigger wire 100mm from the fuel pump plug.

The previous owner had also earthed the pump to the chassis next to the pump also
