R33 Gtr Vspec

Lol - that's fine mate as I only seem to drive my car once every 8 weeks ;)

Drop me a PM next time your coming down - and we can tee up a hills run.

When I had my 34 V Spec II - I used to meet a few mates at Midland Maccas at around 5am on a Sunday morning for quick breaky - then we would do the mildand to Toodyay run - over to Northan / Mt Omany - back into Perth.

Early spring morning in Perth ... driving in your GTR through the hills - amazing !!!!!!!

Very keen on a cruise mate the only issue is I'm based in Port Hedland and only fly down every 6 to 8 weeks for a few days lol

No worries - just give me a weeks notice before your heading down so I can plan.

Will need to take extra fuel with us as I don't think they have E85 up that way - lol

That sounds like a killa run mate I will flick you a PM when I'm in Perth

may not be for a while as I head to the USA and Las Vegas at the end of this month for a few weeks

It would be possible to see everything in 4 days. however if you start talking to suppliers, watching events outside ect there is no way you would see the whole show

You have to go there with a plan of what you want to see. I didn't go with a plan as I was a first timer and I dunno about everyone else but after 2 full days I was wrecked and my eyes were blurry hahahaha so much to take in and see

It isn't just the show, there is so many things going on with meetings, demos, networking, a lot of companies lock in there trade deals for the new year, manufactures assess who is going to be the most dominate aftermarket leader and will supply vehicles to help with increased vehicle sales.

America is geared completely different to Australia in that there after market industry is a key feeder to sales of vehicles it makes up roughly 30% of there sales so its good business for vehicle manufactures to push the aftermarket industry

Well I finally moved to my brand new house

Things are slowing down and I can refocus on the GTR

Over the Christmas and new years break I carried out the first service.

Removed the oil filter and checked for any metal all good same as yhe old oil

I'm now running fully synthetic penrite race oil 10w60 I have been told as long as you let the oil get to temp there will be no issues

I also got tired of only having a sterio that had stations up to 89.9 so I went down to my mates at Alberts Car Stereo who fitted the latest Alpine head unit and a set of Alpine speakers I have to say its nice to have hands free and ula USB in the car. Fitment was alot nicer than the original factory system

I then poped across to my other mate hooked us up with front widow tint to match the rest looks killa

Tint works in Midvale if anyone from Perth ever needs any tinting done

The car was due for a well deserved clean so I spent a few hours going over the car

Gave the headlights a quick polish can't wait to have the time to sand them back and really make them clear

The only frustrating part was the staining on the rear bumper from the exhaust the unburned fuel stains the paint and makes it a nightmare to polish out

So the next jobs.... final tune and high/low boost switch which is booked for Friday hopefully when I fly down Thursday I can have the MAG valve fitted so I can run more boost for Friday

Getting excited to see what the 2.6L can do on 98ron

I would also like to put some rims on the car. Maybe RPF01 or TE37'S

Dose anyone have any suggestions for a good set of rims?

Final tune is completed

420rwhp @ 1bar

517rwhp @1.5bar

Sorry about the poor picture quality

Low and high boost switch installed

The car feels strong and keeps pulling all the way through to 8000rpm. I have never experienced that before.

Next step is the E85 tune 600+hp and 9500rpm

I also took my F6 typhoon down to have the tune checked

After throwing a new set of ID2000 injectors in it a set of spark plugs and a O2 sensor it went 600rwkw or 800rwhp @ 23psi on E85

Peak power was made at 5500rpm

The car is mental but its time to move it on and focus more on one car...... the better more rounded car.... the GTR

Hard to believe there was 1320rwhp worth of cars in my garage.... crazy

So this happened.........

Oh and this........

So they aren't due here until April but there is no real rush due to the car being in Perth and me in the Pilbara

So the Street Flex are the newest version of Coilovers made by Tein and paired with the EDFC ACTIVE will make a great upgrade for the 33r [emoji7]

A massive thanks to Deri from Fulcrum Suspensions for looking after me

If anyone wants a set of these paired with the EDFC ACTIVE system he has given me a great price for 2 kits so there is another kit up for grabs.

I garrantee you will not be able to match his price anywhere else in Australia

Hi Frostyboy

Your car is inspiring me to do the same with my GTR.

Do you mind messaging the details and price of your suspension setup and whether it's still available for sale

Thanks

Matt

Headed to Perth on the weekend to celebrate a freinds birthday

Friday night got out in the GTR for a cruise to Elizabeth quay in Perth its pretty impressive for Perth hahahaha

The car was great in the coolish whether tyre spinning everywhere [emoji83]

Well the car was going great so I decided to go see the folks in the country about 3.5 hours out of Perth

Got some good shots near a massive hay stack on a gravel road

Really needs to be lower with some nicer rims I think but all in good time

On the way back monday had a slight issue......

Over took a road train and noticed the temp gauge spiked up to halfway. Normally I wouldn't be to stressed in any other car but my car never gets that hot. Quickly glaced over to the oil temp and that was slowly rising under no load

I was lucky enough to be able to pull of into a servo (only one in 50kms) so pulled up and instantly smelt coolant

Well the car burst a coolant line on the oil cooler

The radiator was cold to touch and the reason it wasn't measuring temp was there was no water in it

Well I can only hope it didn't hurt the motor

Chucked it on the back of my mates tilt tray and we headed to Petes house to fix

Pulled the starter out for better access

And found the culprit

Ladies and gentleman..... always throw a set of hoses on whenever you build a engine something so simple if I hadn't been observant and a cold morning this could have cost me a engine Rookie mistake

I am now rocking these big silicone hoses we did the lot while we were there new coolant

Drove the car and it seems all good I guess only time will tell
