Hi guys,

Hopefully this is the correct area to post. Tried searching but couldn't find anything. So can anyone advise if the below images of rims would pass a road worthy or should I purchase some stock ones and chuck them on. Just wanna know if can save the money or not thanks! :)

Buy some stock rims, then you can come have some fun and do skids at one of our MotorKhanas ;)

if going to do that......... get a little wider to have even more fun!!!!

Get some 17's or 18's, by 9'ish wide.

Stay period correct for the car, it looks much better than just throwing huge rims on it with no sidewall flex with expensive rubber bands for tyres.

what he said

max 2 inch larger in diameter than standard

M

not true in Vic, max overall rolling diameter change of +15mm from largest stock option for that model.

You missed my point, there is no 2" rule in vic (does it even exist anywhere?). Just trying to clarify its a make believe rule so people don't get caught out by it.

But yes as you said you can go up as many inches as you like in wheel size as long as you reduce sidewall height to keep rolling diameter in check.

Please link to the rule @blind_elk

What IS the largest width available in an R33 or R34? Does this include "performance" variations of the car?

Vicroads VSI8, Sect 13.3.2 Option 2.

It states "for that model or vehicle series". In that case, you might be able to argue that you can fit a rim 25mm wider than a stock GT-R rim on a GTSt.

I believe it depends on the largest tyre/rim size that is on the cars tyre placard. You could always get a GTR one and slap it on if it shows a bigger size. Most cops and Vic roads, regency officers wouldn't know any better.
