I'm pretty sure that will not fit ECR33 or the likes, the key blade dose not have shoulders so will be to thin.

I have seen the 10 point key used in the ECR33 before, both in pictures and physically in a ECR33 and S14 myself. To best describe how it was done; the key was cut on the end of the 10 point key meaning that they key sat further out of the lock or ignition than the normal 8 point key would. The shoulders (which connects the bow (handle) to the blade) of the key are the same thickness on a 8 point or 10 point key however neither of us a locksmiths and that's why i noted above that the buyer should contact a locksmith prior to purchase in my initial post.

Ive got both blades in front of me, you can cut it yes, but its not the correct key and wont fit the ignition proply . It says what it fits on the box with no mention of s14 or ecr33

I didn't say anywhere above that ECR33 or S14 was listed on the box? I have pictures of the box above which are legible and clearly readable. I didn't say anywhere that it is the correct key? I mentioned that I have seen a 10 point key working in a 8 point physically in an ECR33 and S14. You mentioned yes you can cut the key.

I clearly mentioned in the initial post that the potential buyer should speak with a locksmith prior to purchase as I cannot confirm the key will work.

If you already have both keys I suggest you speak with a experienced locksmith.

Please carefully reread the first post and if you have any further questions please PM me directly as your not adding any value to this thread besides increasing your own post count and reiterating what I have posted i my initial post.

  • 3 weeks later...

is the key still for sale? where does it fit the immobilizer chip?

Yep still available. No immobiliser on this key or any Nismo key that I know of unfortunately. I have heard that if you have the immobiliser key on the same keyring then you will be able to start the car and it will still read the chip from the original key but I can not confirm this so please speak to a knowledgeable locksmith to confirm this is possible.

Cheers!
