V35 Auto diff upgrade

Hi all, 

apologies if this has been answered before, but I am looking at upgrading the stock diff in my 2003 V35 auto coupe. I dont really want to spend big money on getting a Quafe 2 way from the states, but I have heard that a manual V35 or 350z diff would do the trick. Would there be any improvements/drawbacks from using the manual diff?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I believe the Manual diff is a 3.5:1 ratio, but the auto is a 3.3:1.  If that is correct, fitting a manual diff will give you slightly better acceleration, but likely worse fuel economy.  The manual diff should also be viscous LSD, but that was also an option on the autos.

Thanks for the response. The V LSD is exactly what im after, am I correct in assuming this will allow you to spin both wheels on a brake stall?

I have an auto sedan that came with the factory open diff and 3.35 final drive
I swapped out my diff for the v lsd from a manual 350z with the 3.53 final drive and it is hands down the best bang for buck mod I've done.
