Rebuilding R33 / GTR gearbox

Hi.

Just wondering has anybody tried to change the bearings and Synchros in a R33 / GTR gearbox.
If so how hard was it, and what sort of pullers are required, is there the requirement for any large presses?

You can get the manual for the R32 GTR and it outlines the complete gearbox reabuild and all tools required. It is something I would like to try and do myself too but; as well as transfer case rebuild.

You need a decent sized press to press main and cluster shafts out at the same time. And you need to brace the centre plate as they can break. Other than that they are easy

Went looking for this in the manual but couldn't find it. What page is it on? I'm probably blind, sorry for the amateur question.

Thank you for that.  My manual doesn't seem to have that section!  Time to look for another PDF
