09 Maxima - airbag, horn not working (already replace clock spring!)

So, as the title says... mum's 09 maxima has been playing up a bit - the horn didn't work, the airbag light on the dash blinks red. however, the cruise control and stereo controls work fine. Only 50,000km. Pretty good power out of the 3.5L, just a pity it's fwd!

First thing I figured was the clock spring had gone bad. Picked up a replacement one (from a wreckers), disconnected the battery, took off the airbag & wheels, changed over the clock spring - same problem. No horn and a blinking airbag light.

Any suggestions on where to go next?
