NZ STREET CARS RUNNING E85

A bit of a mix really, there are definitely people who run it on the street - some have got "over it" and just gone back to pump gas, and there are people running flex fuel.

I think there are a few with decent (read: Link G4+ and similar, the G4 isn't so good for it) ECUs with flex fuel sensors so that if they can't get any ethanol/E85 they just continue to enjoy their car on pump gas, but can get E85 for "fun times" if needed.  It all comes down to if you can justify the extra expense in fuel system, sensors and tuning to get a flex fuel setup - once that is done it can be pretty sweet.

Its not available in NZs largest city (Auckland)! It is available in Pukekohe (near race track) so mostly just for  track cars. A few people buy by the barrel but too much trouble for most.

I generally don't hear from anyone running it on the street, all track cars.

It doesn't look like it's going to happen in NZ, Gull says they'll consider putting in new tanks with new stations as the cost of upgrading existing stations is too high, saying that they've just built a new one at Millwater which didn't get it.

It's a circle, they're not making more available as there's not enough demand, and there's not enough demand because there's not enough available FFS.
