further onto the explanation of the cam gears....

I don't know if it the cause or effect.
Could be that the bolts were loose, causing the cam speed to dart back and forward, causing a bearing failure.
Could be that the cam seized slightly, turned the cam gear, loosened the bolts and kept going.

If there weren't any alloy in the oil, I would have said the gears were the only issue and put it all back together.
I really hope it's all it was and the alloy is just residue from the last machine.
But......
I want it checked now, while it's all apart. Better safe than sorry.

WHITE

Emailed and heard back from hi octane regarding the spacer between the mount and original pump housing.
Meant to be 7.65mm
Used washers to achieve 7.6mm.

So, this afternoon, bolted the rest of trhe pump bracket up.

Installed pump gear.
Had to file down the keyway as it was too large and the gear wouldn't go on.
Used some thread locker on the Grub screws as I don't want them to come loose.(love the holes for the allen key)
Installed the belt and tightened everything up.

Now, in hind sight, not the best thing to do, as I still have to install the a.c. and power steer belts.

Should get a JHH distribution block like mine, it deletes the homosex OEM oil filter housing which is prone to corroding followed by mixing water and oil together to make a delish frappe with your oil

Could probably do it without that piece.
But, having so much oil, I do like the thought of the heat transfer helping get it to operating temp as soon as possible.

White:
Fitted the rear head drain(after a long procrastination session).
One of those, I'll get to it soon, things, that didn't happen soon.
Had to "massage" the factory lines. And it's still a little snug, but should work ok.20180510_162626.jpg20180510_170615.jpg
