2001 M35 250t RS four gone into limp mode with turbo not working

My Stagea has gone into limp mode and turbo no longer working. No dash light or fault code when plugged in. Had a new camshaft position sensor replaced last week as per fault code it had when scanned.

My mechanic thinks the turbo might be stuffed, they cleaned airflow meter thinking that maybe the problem...any help or a point in the right direction on here would be great.

Limp mode... automatic transmission? Turbo will work if you can rev the car under load, unless it's broken. Drop the cat and check for turbo exhaust wheel.

Thanks yes its Auto but no turbo at all..boost gauge gets to 0 and does not go past that point.. also cannot not hear any whistle at all and it did have a loud whistle to it since owning it for about 9 years now. Its done 238.000kms now so i guess if it is the turbo i have had a good run. Always serviced.

Check that the 4wd switch is in normal mode and not in the synch or lock position, that can not allow the turbo to spool, otherwise yeah sounds like turbine and cat had a meeting.
