Hi All, 

Looking into options for insuring my 33 GTST once it's on club registration

Spoken with Shannons and their premium is still as much as what i'm paying on normal rego

Just wondering if there are anyother options out there that people know of

In my experience, the issue with Shannons was not so much the premiums as it was trying to to get claims paid. To me that kind of undermined the deal where I pay for insurance, and they pay back if something crappy happens.

Anyway, Lumley Special Vehicles is another option, that's who we're with now.  Handy for a multi skyline house they offer discounts for laid up/restoration, limited klm (which I guess club would fall under) and a nice idea called "stable" where you can have multiple cars but a limited number of drivers, acknowledging that say 2 people can't drive 5 cars at once.

I would try Enthusiast insurance, I just insured my 97 GTR and found them price wise good and easy to get coverage at agreed value.

I'm very happy with the RACV "veteran, vintage & classic" policy, a quarter the price shannons where for me & that's still on full reg.

I'm also interested in joining with Enthusiast - long time Shannons customer but can't argue with Enthusiast charging a bit more than half of what Shannon's is charging me..
