Stagea Pull Type Clutch Problem!

Hello all. This is my go to site for all things RB and Stagea. Been following the manual conversion thread religiously and I need help.

Basically I've installed a pull type clutch kit and an R33 GT-R gearbox. But my sprung pressure plate clip doesn't lock onto my release bearing.

Here's the vid if anyone knows what I've done wrong or knows how to resolve it without dropping the box again.

Stupid question but is your thrust bearing facing the right way?

Haha that came across my mind too but on removing the box today I found the problem. There's a release bearing locking ring/clip missing from my clutch kit. Sold separately unfortunately.

I’m having the exact same problem. if you don’t mind what clutch kit did you get ?? maybe mine is missing the same piece?

Exedy Stage 1 OEM spec pull type for a 26 but on my 25.

Hmm yeh a bit diferent looks like ill just have to drop the box again and have a look at whats wrong☹️

Have you just fitted a pull type clutch too? If so I reckon the bearing locking ring has fallen out with the input shaft as it did to me. The gearboxes go in at a steep angle. At least mine did since I was 20 inches off the floor.

Yes, that’s what i think is wrong, the clip is still there bit i think ive damaged it somewhere in the install process somewhere. hopefully i can order a replacement one from the clutch company without too much of a hassle.

Ok. I ordered one for an Evo IX and it's the exact same diameter part. Just in case you have trouble locating one.

Mine was about £38 off eBay. Not sure what that equates to where you are.
