R34 GT-V with rear fog light

So basically I've had this r34 gtv skyline for a while

Its a 2001 / Coupe / Manual / GTV / NA / Imported

On the rear it has a red rear fog light where the  drivers side reverse light should me on a r34 skyline

The option to turn it on in next to the light switch on steering wheel 

Research seems to lead me nowhere 

Is this special or just standard?

I believe it was an cold weather option for Nissan's for the north of Japan so as to see the car better in heavy fog or snow conditions

Punch your vin in to the search. It'll show factory specifications. As @PLYNX mentioned, your car most likely came out of factory with the cold weather option.

You may have some other features such as mirror heaters that come on with your rear demister.
