Mustang GT wheels on V35 coupe

Recommended Posts

Hey,

My friend is looking to get some wider wheels for his v35 for pretty cheap and is looking at the new mustang gt wheels. As far as I can tell the specs are:

Front: 19x8.5 +42.5 (255/40/19)

Rear: 19x9.5 +52 (275/40/19)

Centre bore: 70.3mm

Stud size: 14mm x 1.5

Honestly I don’t know much about wheel fitment, and I’ve tried looking through the wheel fitment thread but there’s hundreds of pages. Has anybody tried this and know if there will be any clearance issues. I don’t think the width is an issue, but not sure about the high offset of the rears.

I believe the stock wheels for the v35 are:

Centre bore: 66mm

Stud size: 12mm x 1.25

Can someone who knows more tell me if this is a problem? Will we just be able to use the stock Lug nuts from the v35 for the gt wheels?

Cheers

No. The only thing they have in common is the PCD at 5 X 114.3

The Mustang has a bigger centre bore which wouldn't be a problem if you can find some suitable hubcentric wheel rings but the stock Nissan studs are too small.  And the Mustang wheels are rather ugly in my opinion.

Yea honestly I don’t love them either, but with a bunch of people selling them for around $1000 with almost new tires. Seemed like it might be a really easy way to get a thick tire setup on the v35
