R34 skyline diff internal change

i have standard diff r34 ans bought 1.5way super q

I can remove diff and open it, is it just a case of swapping internals or need to do shimming? I can't see much videos on internet on how to do shimming so really puzzled

Watch the skid factory video where they get a diff set up at Old Cock's. That should be enough to scare you off.

I'm an engineer, and I wouldn't try to do it myself without the right gear and having someone to hold my hand the first time. The cost of getting it wrong is not worth it.

I was just reading a lot about this too. The half shafts compatibility seems complicated.

 

Also, the Nismo 1.5 way looks more 1 way.

A lot of nismo "1.5" ways are actually 1 ways. My 1.5 way is decidedly closer to a 2 way, in perception and practice. There's no such thing as a 1.5 way anyway, just differing ramp angles of 2 way, but noone is advertising any diffs as "45/45, 45/67.75 or 45/90" diffs or anything like that.
