Rb25det does not work vtc in patrol gr

Recommended Posts

Greetings to all from Spain
I have recalized a swap of a nissan skyline engine, a rb25det neo, in a patrol Gr and the vtc does not work.
Someone who has made this swap can provide me with information on how to make the VTC work in the Gr patrol.
Greetings and thank you

Shouldn't make any difference if it is a patrol or not.

Are you using the RB25 ECU? The ECU runs the VCT, so all you have to do is make sure that;

a) the ECU to solenoid wiring is correct, and

b) you have the ECU satisifed in all the things it needs to make VCT work. The one that usually catches people out is that the ECU must have a valid speed signal from the dashboard (which originates at the speed sender on the gearbox, but the one the ECU needs is generated by the speedo head).

¿Está utilizando la ECU RB25? La ECU ejecuta el VCT, por lo que todo lo que tiene que hacer es asegurarse de que;

Hi yes, i am using rb25det neo ECU.

The wiring is correct

What I don't have is the speed signal, but I don't know how to get it.

How do I get the speed signal for the ECU to "understand" it.

Thank you
