Am I getting ripped off

Recommended Posts

a wiring specialties is around $1400 setup for a link plugin, std CAS and r35 coils without freight & taxes
Go a link plugin $1800-2100 (depending on where its from) add 2x Temp/pressure sensors $130ea (oil & fuel), NZefi trigger $400 (plug & play), link expansion loom $90, Wideband $400-500.

is actually a good deal for someone on a budget and could easily do it yourself to save money on labour. I would be going r35 coils while there just to get it done.

Wait til you have to do a proper fuel system with 2-3 pumps + hanger/surge + wiring( proper realys, 5mm wire)+ -8 feed line + fuel reg. That ecu wiring setup will seem cheap

Have a look at @klutched build will give you a good idea whats needed for 1000hp reliably

I thought you can’t use cam/crank trigger kit with platinum pro , might want to go with elite 2500

You can absolutely run a crank trigger with the Platinum Pro, not as flexible with trigger patterns though. Need 12 tooth on crank / single home setup with hall effect sensors.

Thanks, can any trigger kit work with any balancer. He said I have a Ross tuff balancer and I should go with a Ross tuff trigger kit.

Are the blokes who did that fuel pump wiring (with out using relay holders and just teckscrwing through the car to hold them on, and no insulation on positive terminals on pumps ) the same guys who will make the 5k loom?

Also what is Tec screwed down to the left? Don't tell me that's fuel cell..

hang on........ is the surge tank being fed from the stock tank then an internal pump feeding to that manifold on the 2 external pumps? that inline filter is filtering just the lift pump to surge?

There is so much reference material out there these days to setting up very tidy fuel systems in any platform. If a workshop is doing all this I would be pissed.

Yeah I’m not sure man. I hate not being a mechanic. New to all of this. It appears I need to do some reading hahaha.

all I know is that the bloke that Owned the car said something about it was set up for staged fuel or something
