Rb20det with 25det ecu

Recommended Posts

Trying to get more power out of my rb20det by using a Nistune chip. Currently running a 25det series 1 ecu. Iv purchased some gtr injectors and I'm wondering if I can get away without the ballast for the impedance since I'm not running a 20det computer, and can I upgrade to a 25det afm aswell?

Cheers.

Are you running a stock 25det ecu? A different AFM will not give you more power, well not in the sense I believe you think.

Sorry edited up top. Yes it's stock, going to run a Nistune chip and get tuned.

Very backwards approach, get a RB20DET ECU and install a Nistune.

Get new top feed injectors and a Z32 OR R35 AFM and scale (change the TIM, TP Load, TP Load Scales) and send its mum with as much boost as possible.

Do not use a RB25DET ECU, you can't do anything with it.

As already mentioned now, you can't run nistune on an R33 RB25 ecu. Get rid of it. Hopefully you're not currently driving around like that either. Cheers.

I would dare say the $300 mark is within reach, especially for those who want flex fuel, launch control, super basic engine protection, 3D boost tables, you can't go wrong with Nistune.
