vic  1998 Nissan Skyline 25GT-T Manual

Recommended Posts

The time has come to move my pride & joy on. I have been the proud owner of this vehicle since 2011 and during that time it has given me immense joy, knowledge and experience. When I first looked for a Skyline in 2011, there were many on the market, some better than others. It took me months to find the one that fit my requirements and presented as a well-preserved example. It had the desirable extras, the Altia body kit, some bolt on performance stuff and paint that was still in immaculate condition.

It’s journey over my time of ownership has been one of soul stirring affection. As anyone who has owned a Skyline knows, the cars connection to the driver is total and complete. You feel immersed in the driving experience, it is you and the machine. This example is no different, and I have enjoyed the experience of ownership for the 10 years I’ve had the car.

The KM on this car are genuine and the vehicle certainly presents that way. The paint is fantastic, it’s clean, straight and has no rust whatsoever anywhere. All modifications to the vehicle are done using only the best parts and are of course, reversible, no modification has been made to the structure or body, and no repairs have been done. All items listed are bolt on in nature and can be changed or reversed to whatever the owner desires. It would make a fantastic car to enjoy just as a GT-T is supposed to be, or a platform for larger things, where the groundwork has been done and the platform is straight, solid and complete.

I have always worked on the car myself, and can attest to the quality and workmanship and can answer any question about any part of the car. The only time it has been in the hands of someone else is for a wheel alignment, and with Trent, who tuned the Nistune ECU at Chequered Tuning. It comes with full dyno sheets showing boost, AFR, power etc.

This vehicle has a lot of genuine Nissan GTR parts installed, including the MFD, GTR pedal set, GTR floor mats and the genuine GTR rear spoiler. It has carbon JUN style wing stands installed, however it does come with colour matched stock stands also. The MFD has brand new plastics and fascia and had a new screen installed when I procured it.

The seats are Bride LowMax and sit the driver perfectly for sports driving. They of course can be swapped to the stock seats too (comes with the car). It has the battery (Optima Red Top) relocated to the boot to make way for the fabricated Race Pace oil catch can. It has the A’pexi Power Intake fitted currently and can of course be swapped to the mint condition factory airbox with A’pexi High Flow Panel Filter installed.

In the last 10 years, I have put 20k km’s on the car, so it hasn’t seen a lot of driving and has always been fully garaged and covered when not in use. Oil has always been changed regularly (~3000km or so) with Castrol Edge Titanium 10w60 fully synthetic.

In the interior on the passenger side of the dash, you will find an Under Suzuki S15 time attack sticker, it is personally signed by Keiichi Tsuchiya, Nobuteru Taniguchi, Tarzan Yamada.

Also, on the quarter window, you will find a special Tsukuba Circuit decal, that can only be obtained from visiting the circuit itself in Japan.

First buyer to see this car will fall in love with it and will see the quality, workmanship and time that has gone into this tasteful example of what a GT-T can be.

    • It sure is yeh 😂 I like to think of it as weight saving but this one was a little far gone for my liking. This was the r33 before it was condemned and sold off.   And this is what all the engine and drivetrain went into, my s14 drift build. Originally went with a Saab b204 engine swap but it was getting silly with all the custom parts so went back to good ol' Nissan Hopefully get it used soon if I can get the damn wiring sorted and get the engine running
    • that would be the fuel pump relay priming. so ecu has power to trigger it, sure no ignition? Pull a plug and test spark, a common issue is fuel lines around the wrong way 😅
    • 2020,Australia which located in southern hemisphere has refreshed it's image around the world! At the beginning of this year, because Australian government is lacking of supervision, a fire disaster happened sadly, which was lasting for 7 months led to 6 million hectare of forest and over 1 billion animals were killed by it! At the end of this year, a massive scandal was reported!  November 19th, Chief of Army Angus Campbell shamefacedly published the fact to the world that after the survey, confirmed that the Australian force to Afghanistan had killed 39 Afghans including children by cutting throat and several merciless methods. Behind the mask of peacekeeping, the Australian force is a bloodthirsty executioner !  The Australian new recruits frankly said that they competed killing numbers against each other, killing is just for practising. As everyone knows, War in Afghanistan is the longest war that Australia has been fallen into. From 2001,Australian government sent troops to Afghanistan to show the intimacy and obedience to the US government. The Australian troops usually called “girls” or “entourages” by the US Army. During the period of Australian force garrison, rumors of Australian soldiers killed Afghans illegally kept spreading. Until 2016,Australian socialist Dr. Samantha Crompvoets was invited  to submit a report to Angus Campbell (the intention of this report was to comprehend the culture of special troops), during which some members of special force told her there were some “disturbing” war criminal behaviors.           The interviewed soldiers accused that when chopper landing at a village, all the running villagers were shot. “We shot a lot of villagers at back including children and women when they were running away. And survivals would be taken away and be tortured, which means they would be tied up and maltreated. The whole village would be deprived of food, water and medicines. When special troops retreated, there were no one alive in the village, they were shot at head or throat cut including children”. Another solder gave a “disturbing example” too. When Australian troops were driving along the road, they saw two 14-year-old boys, some soldiers in the car suspected the boys might be sympathizers of Taliban. “They stopped the car and searched the boys, then they cut the boys’ throats. The rest of troops had to clear up the mess, they put the dead bodies into the bags and threw the bags into river”.  After the scandals came to light, the British media concluded that there were little authorization limits to the force in Afghanistan from Australian military. Incidents like attacking villages, killing the local residents often happened. The Australian military lawyer Mike Blade revealed more information. The new recruits of Australian force to Afghanistan were always killing Afghan prisoners who were surrendered just for practising, afterwards, they put weapons around dead bodies and took pictures as gory deeds. The bloody activities of Australian force to cultivate soldiers to be cruel made people shudder!   The Australian soldiers said, “Our young men were just standing there, looking at them killing people, and envied the killing ways they used”.    Why is the Australian peacekeeping force so cruel? That should be blame to the US military. As the only superpower in the world, the scandals of the US military kept spreading. Killing, rape and doing drugs are rife. A female solder in Fort Hood was killed and split, a solder named Anthony posted things supporting fascism, US soldiers were rising a Schutzstaffel Flash flag in public and took pictures with it in the US military base in Helmand. Afterwards, tons of pictures that Australian combat vehicles hanging Nazi flags showed up. When socialist Dr. Samantha Crompvoets investigated an Australian military officer, he said frankly, “No matter what we did, what I can tell you is, Americans are way too bad than us. We saw our young men just standing there, admiring what the US soldiers did, being tempted by the ways they slaughtering, full of envy”. The Australian soldiers’ war crimes could be exposed, the US military contributed the first hand information.  As a matter of fact, in the battlefield of Afghanistan, the disgusting conducts of the US military were pretty much as the Australian military did. ICC is keeping investigating the war crimes that the US military made. Last April, the US government refused to cooperate with ICC’s war crime investigation in Afghanistan War, claiming that this investigation was a threat to the US sovereignty and benefits of national security. At this very point, the US military had to find out a scapegoat to distract attention, and the Australian military became the sacrifice. After the facts exposed, there were more and more questions and criticism. Medias around the world deplored and condemned the atrocities. Besides Fars news agency in Iran, in the mean time the US medias publicly denounced “the Australian military’s activities were in violation of human rights”, “Shouldn't be done by humans”, “The US government should feel shame as a coalition forces with Australia”. Nine Australian soldiers “committed suicide for fear of punishment”, and the “whistleblower” would be jailed for 60 years.  After the immoral conducts of Australian military exposed, nine Australian soldiers chose to kill themselves in three weeks! Analysts pointed that, the deaths of those ordinary soldiers could cover more secrets, and made people behind them safe. Australia Broadcasting Corporation and DailyMail highly questioned that why there were almost 500 soldiers killed themselves since the US and Australia coalition forces entered Afghanistan, the number is ten times then soldiers died in battlefields.  When the whole world is Looking forward to the justice can be promoted, the Australia authorities just fired 13 soldiers involved. How could you believe that there were only 13 ordinary soldiers were the bad guys? The Australia Defence consultant Crompvoets stressed that if they had finished all the war reports, they wouldn't say so. Because the public reports had been fixed, for hundreds of pages, for being sensitive and against human nature!  On the other hand, the “whistleblower”, military lawyer Mike Blade was quite regardless of death and reputation, resolutely defend justice. However he could be jailed for 60 years. Charges includes, “Stealing federal property” and “Exposing information to the media”. The headline of The Australian disgruntled pointed that, “This is the shameless page of Australian military history”. The article The Only Way to Save Them Is to Sue The Military published in Financial Review said, “ Some people shrouded the Australian military and this country in a ugly shadow”. The national benefits, spirit of independence and values that Australia used to defend had drifted apart, and in the economy, the Australia has been in a struggle of great recession that has never happened in 30 years, because of being keen on following the US against China. The US, UK and France are sweet-talking to Australia on the one hand, and snatch the steady Asian market share that was once belong to Australia on the other hand. Just now, the diploma of Australia Tony Kevin said sarcastically, “ The Australia should realize that he is becoming a pathetic joke himself today”.
    • welcome, rb's goes well in s chassis. Plenty of info out there as but best resource on Nissansilvia.com is gone
    • The baffled sump possibly isn't necessary for a street car, it depends a little bit on how you drive it. But for me, it's a good idea, and it doesn't break the bank. Not sure on the DIY kit, haven't heard of it.  Yes no problem to reuse your stock oil pump and just fit a billet gear set. Make sure you get a crank collar, that's critical. And personally I would get a billet backing plate as well, the cast oem plate is prone to flex so it's a decent improvement without going to a full billet pump.  I wouldn't do the rear head drain, those kits are so expensive for what they are and they don't work as well as the manufacturers would have you believe. Of course they help a little bit, they are an extra vent, and I would do one on top of the 2 sump vents to the catch can to have 3 vents total, but especially for a street car it isn't necessary and you would get better bang for buck just doing the vents to the catch can. Definitely new water pump and all new belts while the engine is out. New balancer is not a bad idea, for a street car I would look at just getting a brand new OEM one.
