Hey all

 

I have a m35 and, its being silly. the temp gauage sky rockets after 10min runtime, however engine feels cool. the dash has the oil light flashing some kind of error code but cant find much by way of search. Anyone out there have a link to the codes ?

The thing to do here is work out what temperature the gauge sender thinks it is seeing. Measure resistance of sender with multimeter when it is clod and when it is normal but not shitting itself an when it is shitting itself and compare with the known resistance-temperature characteristic of the sender. The outcome of that will lead you to the next thing to look at.
