Sony 6 1/2" speaker install

Hi all. I've just installed some Sony XS-XB1641 6 1/2" 4 way 350w speakers to the rear doors of my 2021 mitsubishi triton. I'm not getting any base from them at all, only mid and high range, have also fitted same model component speakers to front and they work fine, all running off of factory head unit. Anyone have any ideas on why they aren't working properly?

Because they are 6.5 s, and no amp. They aren't subs mate

Wouldn't be surprised if the polarity is wrong, so instead of superpositioning happening to create bass (not base) you're in fact cancelling out the waves from the opposing speakers.

I have done a triton for a job at work once. 
try swapping the rear speaker to the front and see if it that speaker acts differently and vice versa (swap front to rear). From memory the factory headunit on these things dont give out an equal amount of power to front and rear. With an aftermarket deck it gives out 4x 50w (usually)...meaning each speaker receives the same. The factory headunit i dont believe had this same setup and thats why they do what your explaining. 
you could try moving the bias to the rear perhaps but from memory it does bugger all. Ideally need an aftermarket headunit!

yeah you'd want an amplifier, I doubt the standard head unit is pumping out 60 WRMS @ 4 Ohms
