The Plan

Join us nice and early for this busy day of great driving! We are meeting in front of Fantastic Furniture Crossroads, where the Durk's Cafe should be opening at 7:30am for those of you who can’t start a day off without coffee.

We plan on hitting the road at 8:00am, at first down the M31 Hume Highway, before turning off onto the B88 Picton Road to Albion Park.

We aim on arriving at HARS around 9:30am when they open, and are budgeting around 2.5 hours there to allow everyone to look around, grab a bite at Cafe Connie or the nearby El Jannah and grab some gas if needed.

After the break we will head up the A48 Illawara Highway through Macquarie Pass then head down Jamberoo Mountain Road, then turning left onto Jamberoo Road where we will wrap up the day.

From there you can choose to continue onto the highway back home, or join us at Albion Park RSL where the cruise will end.

But what is a HARS open tarmac day?

Tarmac Days involve the static display of some of HARS’ distinctive aircraft. Tarmac Days are also an opportunity to occasionally show action, such as engine runs, and sometimes flying activities. Members of the public will be able to board and sit in some of the aircraft. All exhibits are staffed by HARS guides who can help you enjoy the experience. Pricing for HARS is as follows;

  • Adult $30

  • Child $15

  • Concession $25

  • Family $70
