I had a similar issue with the ATR45SAT with timing being limited up top. I made 289rwkw on 98, on my 25NEO. Told it was most likely exhaust, i have 3" bell mouth dump to 3" straight pipe. What brand dump/front are you running?

Please add above tech Chitchat in my thread I will reference the type of exhaust fabrications and cooler side of things to get the most out of it. And please keep this thread dyno sheets only. cheers.

Hello from Norway.

My car is a 1987 Nissan Laurel C32, probably familiar to some of you. Basically Its the sister model of the R31 Skyline.

The engine setup is as follows:

Stock internal RB25DET from a ECR33. Tomei cam ex cam gear adjusted 2 deg retarted.

Vipec Plug-in ECU,

GT3076R old type 7 blade 52 trim with AR 1.06 twin scroll T3 housing.

Homemade twinscroll manifold with single 50mm Synchronic wastegate. Divider goes all the way to the valve.

Stock intake manifold for better low end torque than the junk Freddy manifold i had previously.

R33 GTR intercooler.

ID1000 injectors

472hp/347kw, 570Nm @ hubs in Dynapack, boost 1,45 bar. 99 RON pump fuel

get a proper PWR 600x300x89mm fmic, block bov and use a pod filter. will increase power and response by heaps.

I'd start with the cheaper options mentioned here first... my Blitz LS return flow provides 315+rwkw with better response than most RBs running similar power levels (i.e. full boost by 3300rpm) whilst providing ample cooling for hard track work.

Thought it would have made a bit more, but turbo seems to be out of puff. Thought about going up to say a 25G 10cm turbo, but the midrange and response is pretty awesome, so I don't really want to change much simply for a bigger number on paper.

All you need is to upgrade its compressor. Below is using one of our upgraded TD06-20G in 12cm using ATR43G3SAT compressor before and after upgrade.

Will be something I look at later on, Im just happy to have it back and running after 2 years building it haha.

Do you have any sheets for that that turbo on standard capacity 25?

What would a core changeout be worth?

Got a retune done on the car same setup. Turbo is still laggy until nearly 4k rpm. Made some power mid and high range.

Updated my result from awhile back with:

1x 3in to 3.5in exhaust, with gate plumbed back now as opposing to going to Atmo, through two mufflers.
Walbro 460 pump, with the 120psi relief valve over the 70psi one. Fuel tank lid actually sealed now too.

Different stall converter to fit the situation, which results in more slip. Added a fair amount of restrictions to the system but got a better result because of other messing around. To avoid killing the dyno this pull was WOT at 3000 RPM as opposed to stalling the converter up. So it's actually more responsive than this shows, but the dyno didn't like it.

Still have a Blitz return FMIC, so that really isn't a restriction people.

413rwkw at.. 24-25ish psi, with about 10% slip in the converter up top.
Couldn't go higher due to Splitfires starting to really call it a day at that power level, which would be higher if it had a clutch, so for anyone reading you can probably do 460kw with ~25psi of boost before they start to miss, at least in my application.

It's pretty torquey.

    • Y'know what, after reading a topic on a 360kw build using a nistune (who ended up going LINK), im now considering a LINK over a nistune. The engine protection alone would probably be worth it. And id like to learn to tune so would be nice to have that safe guard. Which means i probably wont need a boost controller then, or the R35 MAF.  Becoming a bit of a blog now but oh wells. As mentioned previously, the goal is around 300kw, for a daily driver. Will be looking at fitting a highflow turbo or similar (something that doesnt require downpipes, manifolds etc to be changed out) when the current stock gives out or the money for it is there.
    • Thanks guys. Are you meant to tighten the converter bolts through the starter motor hole? Think my plate between gearbox and engine is one piece. Im heading up there tomorrow.
    • Picked my tailshaft up yesterday arv!! Test fit it and because they've gone to a ford centre bearing and CV I had to modify the mounting bracket a little bit. 5mm of each side and she went up into position and fits well. It has a 1350 uni and flange on the gearbox end so it should be plenty strong!  Got stuck in this morning and started on the wiring mess. Cut out all the wires not required that go to the body connector and cut the engine harness out. Need to go through and work out which ones I need to keep and rewire into the new ecu. Should save a small amount of weight as well. I'd love to get in and rip the dash and everything out to completely remove wiring but cbf.  Next up was the power harness for alternator, starter etc. It has a few connectors from factory that run out of it. Cut it all apart and removed what was no longer required and put some new corro and taped it all back up and bolted it all back into place.  After that I worked out where I can mount the new flex sensor. Found a couple of factory bolt holes and drilled a new hole on the bracket to suit. Need to go get a few fittings and adapters tomorrow so I can keep going.
    • Nah, im after the more newer looking, one with the OLED display
