air flow meter

One of my friends is installing a Vg30 turbo on to an N/A RB30, he has been advised to put the airflow meter AFTER the turbo outlet (near the throttle body) as it will have a more accurate reading (boosted inlet temp), I was wondering if (which I have my doubts) if the airflow meter can withstand even mild boost.

I wouldn't do it but some vl people do seems a bit of money for no realy gain there are beter way for hm to spend his dollars.

unless of course they can tell him that he will gain 20 hp then I wouldn't bother

I agree, however he does have all the pieces at hand (manifold etc) (r31) and pretty much for nothing. will it come to pieces? (airflow meter)
