Have you given the Ar1's a workout yet?

Had my first crack with the car on sat.

apart from being an awesome time the tyres were excellent. only took a lap maybe a lap and a half and the grip was excellent.

the value for money is huge. the only thing, and im sure its like it with any tire, the tyre pressure really ballons after every session.

i started with 33 in all 4, after the first session i was loosing grip. came in and it had 55 in all 4!

So let them down and yer was excellent again.

i now have to upgrade my brakes as they boiled and lost nearly all brakes by the end of the day

A little off topic, and more a vent about this dodgy place without putting names down.

But some tyre places really don't listen or understand when you specify a tyre like the Michelin Pilot Sport 4and I really emphasized the S, and then specifically specified not the 4 or 4ST as they are a different tyre...

They quoted my for my rear tyre size, that I know doesn't come in the 4S, and is only available in the 4 or 4ST (these last two are the same tyre according to Michelin Aus). They then went to quote me on a size for the front that I know doesn't come in the 4 or 4ST, so maybe it was for the 4S or maybe it was a Nito Invo ha ha.

Anyway. Looks like I'll be off to a tyre place that understands that the Pilot Sport 4S is a different tyre, or at least someone who pays attention to details.

Well from my experience, some tyre shops can't put wheel nuts on properly, and when they do a "toe check" they mess up the alignment more than it was already, so I'm not surprised some can't tell the difference between PS4 and PS4S.

Has anyone seen the AR1 in 255 R17? I can only find online listings for 235.

What place in Adelaide had them that cheaply?

Currently using 235 RS-R and was going to go for 255 RS-RR, but the AR1 seem cheapish and review wellish for racing myself against the clock. Ideally, would like them in 255 though as Im guessing the difference between 235 AR1 and 255 RS-RR will be a bit smaller.

I've seen the AR1's advertised on gumtree in 255 40 17, $240 each from memory. Don't think the shop was in Adelaide though.
