Ive got a r33 gtst with 230kw at wheels what would be a good clutch that would suit my car?? And is it easy to fix my 4th gear crunch at same time?

Dont know about your 4th gear crunch...but I have a brass button clutch (5puck, sprung centre, 1400kg pressure plate) and it drives like a normal clutch, not bitey and not a pain in traffic....and before everyone asks...yes, it is a brass button clutch!! Its awesome and I can spin all the way to 150kmph in 3rd gear. It chirps all 5 gears if I want or I can drive it normally everywhere. I paid $480 including flywheel machining and bearing. It doesnt slip at all and an associate has the same in his 400hp FJ20 ute and lets just say he drives it like a maniac on slicks doing burnouts and races...it is still in the after 2 years!

OK good info on the clutches. Just wana know should the crunching problem be fixed when i change the clutch do u need to take the gearbox down anyway?? Because i dont wana change clutch and find out it would of been cheapier to do the gears at the same time.

It'll be the syncro's.

Mine is the same when its cold. A gearbox recon will set you back up to $1500. So it might be worth doing it all t once.

I have a 9puk Ceramic Cushioned 1tonne clutch.

230rwkw.. the 800kg pressure plate with the 9puk will do 260rwkw easily and be a little lighter on the leg.

mr_rbman has driven mine, ask him how it feels. Nice and drivable.
