Hi Guys & Girls,

I am putting my car in for a major service next week. I will be having the timing belt replaced, as well as the water pump, and the injectors cleaned. Pretty sure they will also replace the coolant, and other oils.

Did anyone notice an increase in power or performance after having a major service done. I have an R32 GTSt with a 3 Inch Turbo-back exhaust and heat shielded uni filter.

Any advice or feedback would be appreciated - want to make sure I get this done right.

Thanks :)

Don't expect miracles, but yes usually your car will drive better, idle smoothly, rev slightly harder etc.

As for more power, unless there was something wrong with your car, you won't see muh different in power. Like I said above, the difference in drivability is much better, as well as knowing your baby is in top order.

Are you replacing plugs fuel filter air filter etc as well? Make sure they are, or do them youself, as the are what give you the best gains.

Cheers,

Tim

I know that it won't perform miracles. To be honest, I have been a bit scared to give it a bit of stick lately. Just don't want her to get hurt when she isn't running on clean oils etc.

Yes, I am replacing fuel filter. Spark plugs were done on the last service, and I have a Uni Filter that needs to be re-oiled.

Thanks for the response - just what I thought.

Anyone had one done recently, and can recommend somewhere in Sydney that is pretty good.
