Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, would you know what size wheel is on Garage Yoshida's shop car?  More specifically the width.  I look up BBS' lineup and that looks to be their RI-A wheel, either 18x9.5 +22 or 18x10.5 +18.  I first thought it must be the 9.5" because it's on R32, but looking at the front wheel to fender gap I am not so sure.

Rolling shot starts at 0:26 mark.

Judging from the stretched tyres, 10.5 with 265 wide tyres.

I always wonder how could R32 run 10.5" wide wheels.  I have 17x9 +22 right now and it's already lined right up to the fender in the rear.  Front strangely still has space though.

I have 10" +20 with 275/35 Hankook RS3
All guards rolled

-2.5deg camber front
-1.5deg camber rear

Just fits haha. I want to go 285/30 as current tyres are a little stretched.

but yes, for a street setup, non vapegram spec, 9" +20's is plenty

See pictures below.

These are the wheels I am about to buy. I have a r32 sedan type m, so it has the bigger brakes & 5 stud obvs.

You guys reckon they will clear breaks fine? its hard to get all this right without having the car hah. Gonna be running the car fairly low too or what ever it takes to get tight fitment between tyre and fenders ?

Skyline model = BCNR33 GTR

Wheel diameter = 18”

Wheel width =10”

Wheel offset =+20

Tyre size =265 / 40 / 18

Modifications to fit = Ohlins coil overs

Are you sure it's not 265/35, because why the hell would you go a 265/40R18 ? That's a 20 - 25mm + larger rolling diameter (670mm) than the factory range of 235/45R17 to 245/45R17 (642mm - 651mm).

265/35 or 275/35 on 18's on a 33 or 34 generally if you want your Speedo to be at all accurate, as above will read about 5% under, as in reading 95 when you're really at 100.

?? Perfect. I noticed they are AD08R. Interestingly, which I just found out when I fitted them to my 32R, is that they are a bloody big tyre.

I have Advan V103 on my 33R in 275/35R18 and recently fitted the Advan AD08R on the 32R in 265/35R18 - the 265 is a much bigger / wider tyre than the 275. Great for a 33, but pushing it on the 32 without a fair bit of camber.

Has anyone else found this with the AD08R being not comparable other tyres, as in, a LOT wider for a given aspect ratio ?

Hey guys I need emergency help!

I currently have an R34 GTT with Tein Coilovers

Looking at buying LMGT4 in 19”

FRONT: 19x8.5 +25 with 245/35/19 tyre

REAR : 19x9.5 +30 with 275/35/19 tyre

With these fit without rolling guards or anything?

Screenshot is vs current setup which has only slight rubbing at the moment on full lock!!

Seeing that you're going from a high to lower offset wheel, I would suspect they would rub a bit more. What's your ride heigt and camber?

Not sure about camber atm but the measurement from the ground to the top of the wheel arch is 650mm.

Does anyone know what the perfect fitment/rim size/offset for LMGT4’s would be in 18” and 19” for flush fitment to the guards.

8.0 - 8.5" +35, 9.0 - 9.5" +38
It hasn't changed since 1995

Yes but at the moment these aren’t available to me.

Comparing those to what’s available to me these seem very close.

Newbie to the forum here. Looking for some advice from someone who has experience with 34 GTT 2 door's.

Looking at 18x8.5 +30 Fronts, 18x8.5 +35 Rears.

Car is lowered on coil overs, no guard roll. Will this be a good fitment? After a very slight poke if possible. Looking for semi-aggressive fit without drawing to much attention from the po po. Don't want to roll guards and have to worry about scrubbing.

Prob go 235's front and 265's rear if that fits. Would prefer 255's rear but its uncommon size.
