Yes please remain seated....

It is not true i was offered hundreds of thousands of dollars for my yellow skyline but it is ture it is for sale....

I owe it to my fellow QLD members and friends an explaination.... You see it all started 7 years ago when i got my licence. I was bitten by the motor bike bug.... After a year of riding i realised cars are fairlly cheap to run also.... It was at this stage i was bitten by the skyline bug and i sank a heap of money into the many i have owned. However the motor bike bug bit me again yesterday when a mate let me test ride his 05 model Yamaha R6 (600cc super sports bike)....

Well i had a ride.... Then gave him the keys to my car and said ill keep the bike.... After another long ride i relized that a brand new R6 is only 15k after dealer delivery and stamp duty.... So i asked for my car back....

Went into yamaha this morning and wanted to buy right there and then.... However my brain told me to look at other bikes so i went elsewhere and tried the new GSX-R 600 (almost the same bike) I loved this bike also....

Anyway cut a long story short i had forgoten how much fun riding was and am going to buy a new bike..... Also it wont cost me as much due to rego/fuel/insurance so ill have more money for beer.... LOL

But yeah i thought i had better explain myself and if you have a mate wanting an r33 point them this way....

Took an R6 for a 200km blat and found my back to be as sore as... Then today got a gsxr600 and it is heaps more comfortable...

Also the power band is different and i believe the grsx to be smoother and more controlable....

So i put a deposit on the gsxr600....

06 model... Just got to wait now till Mid January....

    • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
