  1. Hey guys, I have a nismo solid shifter and the other day I tried installing it in my r33 gtst, it went on ok but when I went to put the circlip back in it was a bit tighter than the stock shifter. Once it was in I could only shift between 3rd and 4th, when I tried to select any of the gears it would force the circlip out. Has anyone had any similar issues? I'm tempted to pull the bottom cup out and machining half a mm off it.
  2. I didn't realise 400rwkw was a lot, guess they're only 2.5ltrs, I've just come from the world of xr6t's where a reliable 400rwkw is less than 5k away lol. I still have much to learn about skylines. I might look into the link g4, ethanol is another thing I've put into the future and being able to run a flex sensor would be good. Thanks for all the info guys.
  3. Z32 AFM comes up quite often, what's the story with them?
  4. gtr jet what would you suggest? I'm only going with pfc because they're proven and the price suits me, I'm not willing to go all out on a haltech or anything like that, way too expensive for the power I'm chasing. That's some good information GTSBoy, I'll keep it in mind, I'm really not sure what direction to take my car yet...
  5. I'm looking to put a pfc in my r33 as I've hit a wall with the stock ecu. I believe the d-jetro version of the pfc is better and more tunable having an added map sensor and air temp. Is it really worth it? Will I be glad I did it in the long run when I'm going for 400rwkw??
  6. Like the title says, chasing a pfc and controller for r33 rb25det. I'm located in Vic
  7. Haha, I was sleeping in on my day off so there's no way I was going out into the cold lol. My car takes a good 20 minutes idling or 15 minutes driving to even start reading on the temp gauge! Going to pull my thermostat out tomorrow to see if it's leaking...
  8. How long does an Rb25det take usually to get to operating temperature? I noticed that mine takes ages to even start registering on my temp gauge. I haven't checked the thermostat yet, I'll get to it shortly. Also, while on the subject, what is the ideal temperature for an rb25det? Thanks.
  9. Yeah I'll be looking into a better radiator, I've already purchased a new fan
  10. I don't think it's hitting, mine has 2 cracks between every blade, I'm just getting in early. My mates actually flew apart while he was drifting, made a complete mess of everything. His new one already has 2 large cracks but I don't know if it's genuine or not. Stay away from gtech, check.
  11. Thanks guys. It's there a way to stop the clutch fans from breaking every 6 months or so? My mate put a new one in his car and it's already got 2 large cracks in it after a little over a month. Maybe another brand? I admit that both mine and his cars get thrashed, but that's pretty much what we own them for...
  12. I found out the hard way the other day how bad the r33 headlights are. Found a pair of Philips +50 globes and chucked them in, best thing I ever did! If the lens starts going yellow, clean it with a lens kit (or however you prefer) and get those headlight 'skins', they're like a protective clear vinyl, I hear that they can stop the yellowing.
  13. Just as the title says, I'm about to do a thermo fan conversion on my R33 as my fan it about to break. I want to avoid using those adjustable temp switches. What temperature range should I aim for with the temperature switch? It's an rb25det running at 12psi. Also, where would the best place be for the position of the switch? Cheers.
