I was doing some research for the same purposes as you and found the Alcon kits were not much over the $2500 you have mentioned. All depends on your wheel size, but Brakes Direct offered this: • Front 6 piston monobloc Alcon kit with 365mm 2 piece rotors $2697. They were happy to swap out pads and upgrade to PMU Club Racer pads for a little more. Shipping is free Australia wide. Might be worth looking at as another option.
