  1. yeah thats true, except my sub is freely moving around the boot at the moment, the other stuff is not in the way, i am still yet to design and build an appropriate method of holding the sub in, not affecting the access to the spare tyre. I will think of something.
  2. thanks i'd say in total about 2 months, this includes waiting for the perspex to be cut, parts, etc and time
  3. thanks guys yeah it took a little while to do, but i am happy with it, still got to solve the prob of the sub, i have had an idea, once finished i will post pics of this also. Kris
  4. After a lot of pain and little things that needed fixing here and there i have finished my custom amp install, i have relocated the battery and put the two amps next to each other on a slide out tray for configuration, etc. Pics can be seen below http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp...mp/DSC00012.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp...mp/DSC00013.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp...mp/DSC00014.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp...mp/DSC00015.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp...mp/DSC00016.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp...mp/DSC00017.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp...mp/DSC00018.jpg I still have to secure the sub and sort out a bit of the wiring but other than that i am happy with the results. Kris
  5. Hi Mate, Didn't get around to it, yeah if you could look into it it would be cool, thanks
  6. thanks all, yeah i dried it out and it is now driving fine, i think it got in there when it was degreased, all i can say is i don't think i will get the engine degreased anymore!
  7. Hi, As i have posted earlier, i have been having probs with my series 1 R33 GTST, was going to get it looked at but could not get the car in anywhere i decided to have a look at the spark plugs as a week before the problems (would stutter and shudder when trying to drive) i had the car serviced by my sisters bf, he is a mechanic, he degreased the engine as well, anyway i pulled the coil packs off of the first three cylinders and found water sitting in cylinder 3 looked like it has not gotten past the spark plug. The plug is corroded and the coil pack has a bit of corrosion on it. Would this be the root of my problems, would the water have gotten past the spark plug? and would that coil pack now be ****ed? How would i go about this now, should i leave the water to evaporate (which looks like it is doing atm) remove the spark plug and replace it? then take it for a drive? Thanks Kris
  8. Hi guys, I was wondering if there is anyone who specializes in imports, who i can take my car to this week sometime, i know it's new year coming up, but after my car was sitting in a garage waiting to be looked at, i had enough and brought it home. It's been happening for a little while now, it would be driving fine then whilst driving normally, it will shudder every so often, the performance of my skyline has been lost, it is driving like a pig. Any help would be appreciated Cheers Kris
  9. hi all, I recently removed my park lights and put indicators where they were instead. The only problem now is the old indicators in the front bar where 21 watt each, whereas the new ones are 10 watt each. I know that if there is a current drop, or gain they flash fash, but how would i go about fixing this, can i use some sort of resistor. Anyone have any ideas? cheers Kris
  10. hidden cause i'd probably like to keep them, i mean, i couldn't put them anywhere else, they wont really be hidden when i have finished, i will post pics later and show you what i mean
  11. thanks guys, well i'm almost finished, i have carpeted the whole lot and neatened it up. I am now going to put some tesrol (plastic checkerplate, looks very realistic) up against it, and some perspex in front of that, possibly with the word "Alpine" etched into the perspex, then light the perspex up with some blue leds, the word alpine should light up blue then, if anyone wants plans for it i would be more than happy to supply them to you. will have some more pics soon! Kris
  12. Well, after trying to figure out where the hell to put em, i decided to make a custom shelf in the boot, with the amps on runners. Mind you it is no where near complete, still got ot carpet the mdf, and redo all the wiring, what do you think? http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp/1.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp/2.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp/3.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp/4.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp/5.jpg http://users.bigpond.net.au/skyliner33/amp/6.jpg Kris
